I like to snack while I write. You can find the recipe here.

It's that time of year....
As 2009 draws to a close, it is time to pick a title for my quote book for next year. I don't have as many contenders as I did last year, but I'm not sure this is good or bad.
Last year's title was: So much yet to see.
Contenders for this year include:
1. Apparently I'm just getting started
2. To days to come
3. A clean napkin and an extra place at the table
4. The world needs your story
5. Front row seat to the greatest show on earth
The writer in me loves #5, but I'll be thinking about all of them this next week to see which one becomes my mantra for the new year.
I'm also going to post a list on the side on January 1 with a list of things to accomplish. Might be something little, might be something big. But I do enjoy crossing off items on a list.

Glad to be back
I have finally dug out from all the snow - approximately 8 inches received Friday night. And after 80 hours of being without power, I am back to blogland. One good thing - I was able to miss work Monday and Tuesday.

riding sidesaddle
I'm thinking of turning this photograph into a short story over the weekend. I plan to change the names, but I do want to keep the fact that the woman only rides sidesaddle and always wears a bowler.
I'll post the story once I've finished it.
Wish me luck. :)

Research for a new idea
I'm working on a new idea - mistaken identity murder(s). While I was googling for information, I was looking for something to make notes on and found a piece of paper where I had written "canon rebel eos xsi commercial" - to remind myself to look for the music used in this commercial. Well, tonight I found the name of it as well as the sheet music! Unbelievable luck!
The music is by Michael Montes.
So what does this have to do with my story? I think my character will be a piano teacher or a composer. Still working on it.
